Southern Belize is known for its beautiful beaches but is also know for creating memorable experiences in the rainforest. Mayan world destination has become one of the central destination where you can enjoy up to 3 or more activities for the day. Located near Mayan king village at the placencia junction, this adventure park has become one of the most popular tourist attraction for providing visitors with a variety of authentic and attracting experiences which is located an hour drive from Placencia village and 45 minutes drive from Hopkins.

Jungle Zip Line Adventure

Start the day by a thrilling experience zip lining 400 feet above a river valley and in the foothills of our Maya mountain, one of the oldest mountain range in central america. This panoramic zip line experience consists of 7 lines and 11 decks which makes it the longest zip line in Belize. Get a bird’s eye view of the South Stann Creek River canyon and surrounding mountains.

River Tubing

The last zip line takes you to the beginning of the river float where participants will proceed for their second Belize experience by cooling off in the refreshing waters of the South Stann Creek River while listening to the songs of different birds in the area. You will encounter exciting rapids of class one and two but still giving you time to relax on the flat section of the river before you hit another rapid. You may also encounter exotic birds including our endangered Scarlet Macaws, toucans, iguanas and other wildlife along the riverbank.

Waterfall Swimming in Belize is next, Maya King is composed of not one but two cascading falls that are particularly dramatic during the region’s rainy season when, according to Belize tourism folks, the scene turns into “nature’s best shower-head!” Here you get to plunge yourself into refreshing waters, stand under the rushing waters of the fall, take amazing pictures of this gem, or just use the natural rock sides as a seat to relax and enjoy this unique view.

A short drive to fulfilled adventures. We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of our time at mayan world park near placencia. If you like adrenaline rush and extreme adventure this is your best option. We did 7 zip lines and a suspension bridge through the jungle, then we hopped in a tube and floated down several class 2 rapids. This is really the perfect family adventure. Highly recommend!
