Xunantunich Mayan Ruins and Jaguar Paw Cave Tubing

This tour begins with a 3 hours drive from Placencia or 2 hours from Hopkins on the famous “Hummingbird Highway,” one of the most scenic drive in central america, a bit of a drive but a great way to see the country side.

Arriving at the village of Succotz, we’ll cross the Mopan River by means of a hand-cranked ferry. From here we take a short drive to the site. Upon arrival a knowledgeable site guide will walk you through the site while giving you a thorough history about the political, social and trading of the ancient Maya people. The highlight of the trip is climbing the 140 feet high “El Castillo” building to experience a 360 degree view over the rainforest treetops of Western Belize and Guatemala.
