Nohoch Che’en Cave Kayaking & Ziplining Adventure
Cave Kayaking better than cave tubing. Everyone knows about cave tubing but less is known about running this famous underground river by a kayak. Be part of the few people who have kayaked the caves branch river and run the entire section of three cave systems rather than one at Nohoch cheen caves near Belmopan. Enjoyed by all(5-70years) experienced and non-experienced kayakers.
The issue with cave tubing is that many of the runs are short as a person to float in an inner tube has less mobility also. Only in a kayak, are you able to navigate this river and all three massive cave systems.
This tour begins with a 2.5 hours drive from Placencia or 2 hours from Hopkins on the famous “Hummingbird Highway,” one of the most scenic drive in central america, a bit of a drive but a great way to see the country side.
Upon arrival at Nohoh cheen caves branch, we give you sometime to use restroom and to change off into your swim wear to get ready for the hike. After a 30 minute hike through the rainforest, we get to what we call the “put-in-point”. At waters edge, you will receive a short safety briefing. After the briefing, you will be equipped with a life jacket, paddle, helmet and head lamp. Position yourself in your kayak, and you are now ready to embark on your journey as your kayak will be guided by the tranquil currents into the cave on the caves branch river. Once inside the cave, the light from the head lamps will reveal a lost world of sparkling stalactites and stalagmites as well as other cave formations as you float through ‘Xibalba’ mayan word for underworld or ‘Hell’. Some of the section of this cave was used by Ancient Mayas to conduct rituals, ceremonies and offerings. All in all, this float is packed with beauty, relaxation, enjoyment and wonder of the complex cave systems. Total duration of the float can vary depending on the level of the river, on average it takes approximately 2.5hours to fully explore these caves.
After a marvelous float through the awe-inspiring Cave, participants will then enjoy a thrilling adventure, sailing through the rainforest on a series of zip lines.
After a 10-minute nature walk to the main platform, your guides will fit you in a harness and secure you to the main cable, you will also wear a helmet and gloves for extra safety and comfort. A guide will be waiting at every station to assist in landing and taking off. Knowledgeable tour guides will give you safety instructions, an overview of the adventure, and some historical context about the Outpost. Travelers are then connected to a series of overhead cables to fly through the rainforest canopy, an experience as visually stunning as it is exhilarating. The “beginner’s zip run,” also called the “chicken run” only 150 feet (45 m) in length, helps ease children or nervous “fliers” into the activity. Multiple other ziplines, 200 feet (61 m) to 800 feet run between secure treetop platforms nestled in the tropical trees. Whizzing through the distant backdrop of limestone cliffs, adventurers get a look at vibrant flora and fauna up close.
Note: Children must be 40 inches tall and waist limit is 44inches for zip linning

Cave Kayaking and zip lining with Raul at Real Deal Belize was a fantastic adventure. Our tour guide, Jose, was exceptional, making the experience even more enjoyable with his knowledge and enthusiasm. Floating through the serene, underground caves was awe-inspiring, and zip lining over the lush rainforest provided an exhilarating thrill. This tour is the ultimate way to explore Belize’s natural wonders.
