Mayan King Waterfalls
Maya King Waterfall is the easy choice for an accessible adventure the whole family will enjoy. Crisp, cold, and clean; this waterfall provides a refreshing place to swim as well as toilets and changing rooms and a huge covered seating area.
Your tour start with an hour drive from the Placencia pier to the Mayan King waterfalls where your experienced guide will entertain you with rich history and information about our beautiful country Belize along the way. This is a Belizean activity that involve some driving on a dirt through the rainforest, citrus farms and banana farms.
Upon arrival, there is a 2 minutes easy walk to the first waterfall and pool however you may want to check out the other two cascading falls that are particularly dramatic during the region’s rainy season when, according to Belize tourism folks, the scene turns into “nature’s best shower-head!” Here you get to plunge yourself into refreshing waters, stand under the rushing waters of the fall, take amazing pictures of this gem, or just use the natural rock sides as a seat to relax and enjoy this unique view. There are 3 natural pools and cascades that visitors can reach via a series of stone and cement steps. Hand rails are along most of the path/ steps and proper ladders can be used to get in or out of the deeper pools. Belize has so many beautiful waterfalls but none are as easy to access as this one.

Discovering the Real Beauty of Belize
The waterfall is within an easy 2-5 minute walk from the parking lot. We recently cruised with people who can not handle a hike to Belize and this was the best excursion by far. When we found Mayan King we were happy because now we can take older friends and super young kids and share a waterfall and swimming hole with them. Raul and crew made this excursion easy and laid back. They picked us up in Placencia and brought us an hour before the last ferry to Harvest caye. Highly recommend this company!
